India collected 1.75 Trillion Rupees, I. e. 20.87 billion US Dollars, in Goods and Service Tax (GST) upto July 31st, 2024
In same period, in last Year 2023, the GST collection was 1.59 Trillion Rupees, a government officials reported., according to the GST Council of India, and The Ministry of Finance, (MoF), Govt of India.

However, Government of India, ministry of finance announces and reported earlier this month, that a meeting will be held on 9th August, 2024 of GST Council of India, that where some steps can taken on GST brackets and some slab of Taxes will waived.

But opposition of India, specially Congress party criticized GST, in this regime as a “Gabbar Singh Tax” (GST).
