From Our News Deak Exclusive : Giant Smartphone companies, Xiaomi, Samsung, Redmi and other big smartphone companies colluded with e-commerce giant Amazon and flipkart/ ekart to exclusively Launch smartphones products on e-commerce Indian sites, it is in a breach of anti- trust laws, according to regulatory authority.
The Authority of Anti-trust laws in India, CCI, (Competition Commission of India) conducted investigation of anti trust investigation, have Found that, Amazon, flipkart/ ekart both violated local competition laws, by giving preferences to selected sellers. Prioritizing certain listings sellers, and steeply discounting products, launching of smartphones into e-commerce websites, and sellers selling in discounted prices, hurtling others.

These such type of practices hurt smaller retailers, as these hamper their businesses, regulator says.
The CCI’s more than 1000 pages report on Amazon also said that Indian units of 5 companies, 1) samsung, 2) motorola, 3) Realme, 4) Xiaomi, & 5) OnePlus – “were involve in the practices exclusively” on phones launching, where it’s ‘collusion’ with Amazon and it’s affiliate.
And CCI’s more 1696 pages reports said Indian units of samsung, xiaomi, vivo, lenovo, motorola, and realme conduct similar with flipkart.
Not only it is against free & fair competition, but also against the interest of small retail businesses, against the consumers also. The Additional Director, CCI, wrote both amazon and flipkart to give an actual happening against these findings.
Xiaomi, and other giant smartphones companies declined to comments, but both amazon & flipkart will give a fruitful findings before the beginning of festival seasons started in India.
