India’s Jammu & Kashmir votes in frist Regional Poll in a Decades.

Voters of Himalayan Range, Jammu & Kashmir queued outside the polling stations on Wednesday to vote in the First Provincial Election  being held today, in a first phase in a decades, where so many years after Militant’s violence. 

Nine (9) Millions registered voters to choose their members of Legislatures of 90 seats, in Assembly of Jammu & Kashmir in three phase of Election. Votes will count on 8th of  October this Year. 

A frist-time voter, Md. Asim Bhatt, a 23year old said after casting his right that, “I gave my vote for our development.  From Last ten Years,  we were unable to exercises our Democratic Rights,  and now I am happy…… That I  caste my vote”.

Jammu & Kashmir is India’s only Muslim majority territory, which one is India’s centre of disputes while neighbouring with Pakistan, and a long  international border with  Pakistan since 1947.India & Pakistan both the country claims, kashmir the territory  in full, but rule in part after fought two -three war,  between the two countries over the region. 

Till 2019, India ruled Jammu-kashmir with a special partial autonomy by the region, was revoked by PM  Narendra Modi government, with revoke of article 370, the region’s special  status, and one part comes under Union Territory. 

Jammu & Kashmir, the first region of India, which one comes first, in a part from a State status to Union Territory status of Ladakh.

The territory recorded in last National Election, held in 2024, the highest turnout in 35 years was 58% participation. However, various national and international agency reports that, this time in Legislative Assembly Election of 2024, Voters turnout percentage.
