After withdrawn of Article 370, the special rights act, and federal election after a Decade in Jammu & Kashmir, the Himalayan Range of Northern part of India, New Delhi highlighted the first vote happens in the valley.
More about 15 Countries, foreign diplomats are here allowed to Observe Jammu & Kashmir Elections held in three phases.
It was the first time, the India has invited the countries attached to G20. From where foreign diplomats were invited, to see the voting pattern & process by Modi govt, who stripped Jammu – kashmir’s partial autonomy by withdrawn of Article 370.
More than 9 million people as voter are eligible to choose their members of legislative Assembly for the region of 90 seats after a decade since 2014.
The Foreign Diplomats includes the countries like, United States, Mexico, spain, Singapore, south Korea, Arab Emirates, Japan and others diplomats from embassies of foreign countries visited Jammu & Kashmir from New Delhi also. They visited the polling stations accross the valley where voter are Muslim majority.
“It is a rare opportunity, to come over to Kashmir, and took in the part of electoral process in action and see democracy, it looks very smooth, everything is professional ” – said deputy chief of mission, U. S. Embassy.

Jammu & Kashmir had a special autonomous status to the state, by constitutional Rights as an Article 370, which was revoked by Narendra Modi led BJP government in 2019.
Opposition parties criticized about allowing the foreign diplomats. Opposition leaders hold a visit by a foreign diplomats was not Necessary, in this federal elections of J &K.They also added- “when foreign governments comments (on Kashmir), the India government say, it’s an internal issues, and now suddenly, BJP led India govt wants to show the foreigners our internal state election process”.- said by Omar Abdullah .
“Jammu & Kashmir elections are our internal matters, and we need not foreigner’s Certificates” – told by Abdullah, after casting his vote, in front of foreign diplomats.
