India’s Tata Electronics agreed to buy the major stake Taiwan’s Pegatron for iPhone manufacturing in India’ s Tamilnadu. It’s a joint ventures which strengthening Tata’s position as an Apple iPhone supplier to the World, as Pegatron is the key role player in Apple industry.
Tata electronics hold 60% to run operations in the joint ventures, while Pegatron offer technical support.
Apple company is increasingly looking to diversify it’s supply chain beyond china amid geopolitical tensions between Beijing and Washington . For Tata, Tamilnadu plants boost it’s iPhone manufacturing plans.
Tata, being as a largest conglomerate in India and has been fast growing iPhone manufacturing, which only rivaling with other iPhone contract manufacturer operating in India, if Foxconn.

Tata, already operating it’s another an iPhone assembly plant in Karnataka State , which has took over from Taiwan’s Wistron last year. It also builds another plant in Hosar, Tamilnadu, which was involved in an fire incident in last September, before festival days starting in India.
