A Case Trial :
- Gurpatwant Pannun, who heads of the radical group of sikhs for Justice, has filled a Law Suit in federal District Court demanding damages for the alleged Plot to Kill him Last Year.
- Lawsuit names the Government of India, NSA Ajit Doval, former R&AW chief Samant Goel, senior security official vikram Yadav, and business man Nikhil Gupta.
- In November, last year U. S. federal prosecutors charged Indian National Nikhil Gupta of working with an Indian Government Employee in the plot.
- Following the allegations, India appointed a High Level Enquire Committee, to look into the inputs provided by the U. S. on the plot.
- In April, ‘The Washington Post’ Named an Indian Official for plotting to Kill Pannun in American Soil.
Mr. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, filled a civil case earlier this week against the government of India, Ajit Doval, Vikram Yadav, Nikhil Gupta, who is in jail in New York, and others. The defendants are required, as per the court orders, to responds to the September 18,2024 , summons before the court within 21 days.
Never in the History of Independence India, has a person holding Indian cabinet ministers rank, in the central government, been summoned by a foreign Court in this manner.

Th summons come ahead of PM Midi’s visit to U. S. into QUAD summit and in United Nations summit in New York.
