India’s main opposition in 2024 parliament, Congress party has put pressure on prime minister Narendra Modi government to take all political parties in India into confidence regarding worsening ties with Canada, after a day, the two Countries said, they expelled both the country’s Diplomats each other’s.
The Ties detariorated further on Monday with expulsions, while Canada linked India’s Diplomats to the murder of sikh separatists leader and accused South Asian nation of a border effortcto target Indian decident in Canada.
The Congress party in India, expected Modi to take the Leaders of All Parties into the confidence on “extremely sensitive and delicate issue of worsening Diplomatic Relations of India-Canada”- according to Congress party spokesperson, Mr. Jairam Ramesh.
The row is a major deteriorationtion of ties between the Commonwealth members already frayed after Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau last year, he had evidence linking indian agents to the assasination of Sikh Leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canadian Territory.

On this connection, Justin Trudeau had said, his government has ” Clear & compeling evidence that agents of Government of India, have engaged in, and continue to engage in, activities that pose a significant threats to public safety “.
India had long denied Trudeau’s accusitions. On Monday it dismissed Canada’s move and accused Trudeau of pursuing a ‘ political agenda ‘.
Canada had briefed New Zealand on the criminal investigation into violence against members of it’s South Asian Community, Winston Peter, the foreign minister of the latter, said on Tuesday.
